About MinuteBasket

What we do

MinuteBasket delivers restaurant food across Canadian cities. Customers order through our app or website, restaurants list the same prices they charge at the counter, and drivers are paid to bring the order over. The only platform charge is a flat $4.99 delivery fee per order.

Why our prices are different

Most delivery marketplaces charge restaurants a commission on every order. Restaurants recover that cost the only way they can — by listing higher prices in the app than in the shop. On top of that sits a service fee, calculated as a percentage of the order, and often a paid tier that promises faster delivery.

We took the commission out. That removes the reason for a menu markup, and it removes the need for a percentage service fee. What remains is the real cost of the delivery itself, which is why the number is flat rather than a share of your basket. What we commit to

• $0 service fees. Not reduced, not waived for a first order. There is no service fee line on a MinuteBasket receipt.
• In-store menu prices. Restaurants list what they charge at the counter. Where we hold a comparison price, our restaurant pages show it beside ours.
• A flat $4.99 delivery fee. Near or far, peak or quiet, with no surge pricing and no paid priority tier.
• 100% of tips to drivers. We take nothing from a tip and never count it toward a driver's base pay.
• No subscription. There is no membership that unlocks fairer pricing, because there is only one price.
