How much does food delivery cost on MinuteBasket?
A flat $4.99 delivery fee per order, plus tax and any tip you choose to add. There is no service fee, no menu markup and no subscription. Other Canadian delivery apps typically add a service fee of up to 15% of the order on top of menu prices that are 5–15% higher than in store, and charge roughly $3.99–$8.99 for delivery.
Are menu prices really the same as in the restaurant?
Yes. Because we do not take a commission on the food itself, restaurants list the same prices you would pay standing at the counter. Most delivery apps inflate menu prices to cover the commission they charge restaurants, which makes the markup invisible at checkout.
Do I need a subscription to get these prices?
No. There is no membership and no paid tier. Every customer pays the same $0 service fee and flat $4.99 delivery fee from their first order onward.
Does the driver keep my whole tip?
All of it. We take nothing from tips and never count them toward a driver’s base pay. What you tip is what the driver receives.
